Hinder, Staind, squareRoot(9) Doors (1/up)
Over the summer I saw a few concerts one I was invited to was Hinder, Staind, 3 doors down,
I thought why not, I used to like 3 doors down haven’t heard much from them, Staind is awesome, and I don’t know hinder that well. On top of that I’ve yet to go to a concert that I haven’t liked.
I was with the Cyrs a friend of theirs, E-Thug, Randombw, Maverick and JP.
So first up: Hinder
and I must say they are approved of. They put on a decent show and the music was good.
Next up STAIND!
-And just like the last time I saw them it was an AWESOME SHOW!
-I rocked out big time, there was a cute girl behind me that not only noticed but wanted me to rock out harder, exact words “I want to see you head bang more” That was fun:P.
-They had an awesome set list, including: For You, Fade, MUDSHUVEL, and a bunch of others,
and then near the end Aaron brought out an acoustic guitar and did his own rendition of Turn the page which was epic!
-They finished off with outside, and its been a while
It’s funny the things you think about when your in a place you feel comfortable, like a concert, I came to some really good realizations and some funny paterns about me and Staind concerts:P. Go figure
Then headlining the show was 3 doors down, and at this point my voice was all ready pretty much shot,
-They opened with When I’m gone
-A few other good songs, Kryptonite was played second:-D
Oh yea 3 doors down also had ridiculous pyrotechnics!
So the concert is nearing its end and it started POURING, it was awesome, I love the rain:)
Best part was the drive back in such a down pour, always makes things interesting.
It was a good night I had fun, my friends had fun, and you know what it made me happy:
Well there you go, Till next time

Doodely Ding Dong Tick Tock!
DETHKLOK!
We’ve all heard of them at this point, they are the bringers of destruction, the bringers of the METALOCALYPSE, and your Emperor, is a supporter of them. That’s right, I enjoy them and I have now seen them live, and it was an amazing show. The show was opened by Soilent Green, and Chimara. I missed Soilent Green and caught the tail end of Chimara, so I cannot give my opinion on either, however previously I have seen Chimara and they were decent from what I can remember. Now on to the Main event
DETHKLOK!

It started off with the council, they were meeting to discuss the fact that DETHKLOK was going on tour, and their plan to poison the fans with a chemical fog, to mutate the fans. The lights went dark and the room began to fill with a fog. Then BOOM BRIEFCASE FULL OF GUTS!
Brendon Smalls and the rest of the physical band took the stage and the screen on the backdrop lit up with the video for the song. This is how each song progressed and it was absolutely amazing. Brendon Smalls is quite talented, being the vocalist and lead guitar is not an easy thing, and he was even hit in the head with water bottle while playing and didn’t miss a beat while dodging.
During the intermission they show murderface walking off the stage mid song to take a crap, and the entire band follows
.
After that they did the second half of the show, and walked off stage. Then Came the Encore with what else but Fansong! Because you know we give them more than just record sales, we give them something to hate.
Here are some more pictures and most of the set list.

At the concert there were some interesting characters. Like the girl who dressed up as Dr. Rockso The rock and roll clown, spandex and all:P. There was also this metal girl I spoke with as we left the pit (cute too), we were talking about how awesome the show was even though we weren’t expecting much more than a joke, and on top of that it was one of the best mosh pit I had been in in a long time, she agreed.
Oh yea and check out my bad ass bumper sticker:

The Unholy Alliance Tour pt2
The show was Amazing. I had heard of all but the openersm “Thine Eyes Bleed”, and I wasn’t disappointed with any part of the show. Thine Eyes Bleed had some good music and now I may need to acquire it for myself, hard music with deep singing. Then Came Mastodon, I hadnt’ heard much of their stuff but that is going to change, because there set was awesome, their music was great and the energy they had was awesome. Both Mastodon and Thine Eyes Bleed had about a half hour set. Next we had about a 10 minute wait while they set up for Children Of Bodom!! Now I’ve known about this band for a while but have heard only some of their stuff, and some of what I had heard was their joke covers (i.e. The Final Countdown, Some Britney Spears song [hilarious as it was]) but I must say they kicked ass, definitely knew how to put on a good show. Again we had a 10-15 minute wait (which annoyed many people but it was quickly forgotten when the next band came on) and then LAMB OF GOD came on
, one of my favorite bands. Their set was Fucking AWESOME!, of course. They played my favorite song by them VIGIL, I went insane, it was awesome, I knew nearly every song they played except for the one thats coming out on their new CD either next month or in August! KICK ASS! So as usual they finished off their set with Black Label, but sadly only mosh pits no wall of Death
. After their kick ass set there was another long wait I’ll say closer to 20 minutes for Slayer to come on, and since it was my first time seeing slayer I wanted to watch most of it, and I didn’t do much in the mosh pits, and their set was Frigian Great The songs were awesome (they played dance with devil Raining Blood and a few others I can’t think of at moment) The visuals behind them for each song were cool as well, because instead of having a backdrop with a picture it was a white backdrop they had stuff projected on to it.
Times for bands
5:30 ish for Thine Eyes Bleed
6:15 ish for Mastodon
7:00 ish for Children Of Bodom
8:20 ish for Lamb Of God
9:45 ish for Slayer
I also got out of their with minimal markings, injuries. Now It is the morning after and my neck is sore as hell, but it was definitely worth it, and to top it off I ran into two old friends during the pits for Bodom, Geoff Karasic, and Shanye Murray, it was kool shit. I’ve run into them before at shows its weird, I never see them then all of sudden we see eachother at a concert. Last time I saw them at a show I beleive was Ozzfest 2005. It’s always cool running into old friends.
All in all it was a great time and I’m glad I went.
And now a picture of what I looked like after the show.
Always Remeber, Keep on Rockin’

The Unholy Alliance
Ah yes an unholy alliance has been formed between great powers: the SLAYERs of Beast, the LAMBs OF GOD, all CHILDREN OF BODOM, the great beast MASTODON, and all those who claim that THINE EYES BLEED. They will be congregating in a place once known as Tsongas Arena in an area that once was known as Lowell, MA. I will be attending this gathering to watch over them and get some enjoyment, and they have even proposed an entertainment session during this gathering, I forsee this being an excellent show of power. I shall update later with what I thought of this gathering.
Sincerely Your Emperor,
Animalistic
