Hi All Spartan-104 here,
So I have decided on some projects I will be working on, I am enjoying this story class so much, that I think I may slowly start expanding the short stories I start, and will probably post excerpts here as I create them. I feel it will give this site, “A nice bit of flavor along with your other reviews and content in between Animalistic’s updates.”

Hope you are looking forward to the  musings of an active mind.

Runaway train never coming back.

Hey All,
For a class I am taking I had to write something about being stuck on a run away roller coaster car. Feel free to let me know what you think.

Runaway Roller Coaster Car

It was a warm day, all though it usually is in mid-august without a cloud in the sky. Somehow they convinced me to ride with them on the roller coaster today; I guess I just got sick of saying no. It was one of those roller coasters that has you suspended from the rail in something like a car seat with roll bars, rather than sitting in a car all buckled in.

It started with a jerk, and then off we went on this death trap of amusement. Everyone around me looked on with tight lips and wide eyes, ready for all the twists and turns of this ride, while all I could see were the triple loops and turns at unnatural angles. We were almost to the top of the first incline, I couldn’t see much but the glow of the noontime sun ahead of me so I gripped the handles as tight as I could and then all I felt was the warm air whipping past me at speeds reminiscent of the old drives down the highway in my dad’s sports car on school vacations from years long since past. Something didn’t seem right, near the end of the hill there was a loud crash, I craned my neck and saw that we were no longer attached to the rest of the chairs, there was just the cluster of myself and my 3 friends detached from everyone else. My friends started screaming, we were coming up to the loops and we didn’t know what would happen. I sat there silent, holding on with all my strength as we hit the first loop. We hit the loop slowed down as we approached the peak, it seemed like we were there for an eternity, upside down, no longer in control of our own fate, at the mercy of the ride. The decline from the loop seemed to launch us faster and faster, faces down below us were whipping by in nothing more than a blur, we hit the next loop’s incline with such speed it compressed my entire body. All I could see was a blur of blue, and black as the ground and sky flew by as we left this loop, went through the next, and up a short incline. How much longer was the track? Have they figured out a way to stop us? If I remembered right after the loops it was a decline back to the station. I saw the station approaching but we were moving too fast, there was a line of park personnel all along the station with tools, and medical supplies. We blew by the station and began heading for the incline of the drop that started this runaway journey. I gripped tighter as I stared at the mountain of track that lay before us, smelling the hot summer air. We hit the incline with a lot of speed, and began slowing down. Every inch of track seemed to slow us down more and more, until about half way up this incline, we stopped. We began sliding backwards, at this point I closed my eyes and just hoped we weren’t going to hit anything. We went past the station again, and hit the hill behind the station, went up a bit of it and began sliding forwards again, a lot slower than before. Soon enough we had stopped at the station.

The attendants unlatched all of us. We were okay, shaking a bit, quiet, but ok. The other car was still out on the track, stopped at the bottom of the hill waiting for their rescue. I walked away from that ride feeling awake, and alive. On our way to the park offices, I looked at my friends, and pointed to another roller coaster on the way and said, “Who wants to go for a ride?”

Short Update

Well last night was interesting, I went out with several people to go see a movie, Underworld 3 (Spartan will be posting a review soon). The group I saw it with was an eclectic and … interesting group….eh.  Anyway after that, I took a walk to go meet up with some others from the area of and around this domain. On the way, made my presence known to stop a domestic disbute from escalating too far, fun times.

After that stroll I arrived at the Pool Hall/bar/Bowling Alley/Whatever known as Jillian’s but before I was near the door,  I heard someone yell my name.  Low and behold a friend of mine, a disciple if you will, was working the door for the pool hall. It was good catching up with skinny, he seems be doing well.

I went inside, met up with El Soelcho, and found out the rest were down stairs at the dance club. I decided against the dance club for the night, so we played a quick game of pool. After the game, he returned down stairs to meet with the others, and I went on my way.

On my way out I met up with my buddy once more, talked about some old times, and he filled me in on what he has been up to. I was introduced to his other friend, and then headed on my way to my local dwelling. Decided to go for a long walk on the way, went around the area known as fenway, and down to the old Huntington avenue. Went past the University of the North East, turned around through a side street and headed up towards the Circle of Brigham.

Ran into 2 people on this path, a woman known as Fair Crystal, and A Snow surfer. Saw Crystal first, with who I believe to be her significant other, good seeing her, she is always nice and generally happy. From behind someone tapped my back and it was a slightly intoxicated Snow Surfer. Spoke with both of them for a while, and walked the snow surfer home.  After all that I continued my path to the dwelling, returned to find Flyboy, and Deaftone. Spoke wih them briefly, read an article I found interesting, something about “Retrosexuals” in the Newspaper named after the Bird of Fire.  The night came to a close shortly after.

As for now I am going to go cleanse, and then begin more work on the site.

Ta ta for now my minions

Sincerely Your Emperor,

Did I ever tell you?

Did I ever tell you, that I shouldn’t be alive right now? By all logical means I should have died years ago, and on more than one occasion, this is something that I rarely go long periods of time without remembering. There have been injuries which should have done me more damage, accidents with no explanation, and …there was always that time in Mexico…To this day I cannot explain it, is it just coincidence that these things keep happening to me and somehow I come out almost unscathed, is something watching out for me, or is something making sure I complete whatever I was put here to do. Like I said I cannot explain it nor am I sure I want to, due to the possible implications it could have. As you know your Emperor lives and, because of that fact, I keep pushing myself further and further, making sure to get the most out of my time here. There is a little more insight into me than I usually give, all though that is as much detail as I can share for now.

Sincerely Your Emperor,

The Large Pomme (Big Apple) Part 2: The Celebration

So as the night progressed Blue Star, and I required nourishment, and went to look for food, being a holiday most places were closed until we found one place that had pizza down the road, it was tasty. After that and a little while hanging around her dwelling we decided to head out and go watch the fireworks.

We ended up in Manhattan under a bridge-esque thing (mostly just a raised street) and watched the fireworks on the East river, they were quite impressive. It lasted for about a half hour and was well done, but then came the stampede of New Yorkers all trying to get on the subway, blue star and I decided to say screw it and walked,

We walked the entire brooklyn bridge and then got on the train. It was a beautiful stroll, a bit of vertigo with all the steel chariots rolling by below and looking through the grates at the wate below. The skyline was beautiful and all the smoke from the fireworks was great. The walk was good, train ride loud I must say. We then returned and both geeked out a bit and did some reading.

I believe I was reading the comic called “Preacher”, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes and interesting read, especially if you are a fan of Warren Ellis, you’d enjoy this (not by ellis but similar in style).  After that read, and some interesting Messages of text, we both retired for the night, and decided to do touristy things the next day.

Stabbing Westward

I Interrupt the Story of my journey down to the City of the York which is Newest, to speak about a band I have been listening to a lot lately, Stabbing Westward. Stabbing Westward is a band I discovered many years ago when I first was entertaining myself with the game Duke Nukem: Time To Kill for the first Playstation made by that company known as Sony. Stabbing Westward’s song “The Thing I Hate” was used for the intro music, and I was hooked. Even though I was hooked I knew very little about them, and even less about getting there music. I stumbled across bits of it here and there, just enough to keep me wanting more. Recently I found a lot more of there music, and I must say I am hooked. They are classified as an industrial band but their music has a range from heavy, to ballad like. I recommend them to anyone looking for something different to listen to.

The Large Pomme (Big Apple) Part 1: The Arrival

Posted by Emperor Animalistic

A much delayed post but here it is:
Over the summer, The weekend of July 4th, I took a trip down to The Big apple to visit my cousin, Blue Star, a talented musician and a Sound Engineer with a B.A. Degree from Smith College. I departed in a people transportation machine (run by Megabus, service was good) on Friday July 4th(I hear it is a big holiday in the States go figure:P) from “South Station” In Boston, Massachusetts. I arrived at south station around 9 o’clockA.M. in order to get to my area for departure. I met a man using an O.L.P.C. and he gave me a quick demo of it, it was very interesting. While waiting for my bus to arrive and pick up myself and the other passengers, I was approached by a group of russians who were visiting the states and had come to Boston to watch the 4th of July festivities. They wanted a picture with me, how could I say No?! So I took a picture with them it was fun, they were happy, I was happy, I wished them well and off they went to enjoy their day.

The Bus arrived and I got on, and proceeded to get comfortable for my 4+hour journey. The route was scenic, and we only made 1 or 2 detours along the way. Arriving in NYC was great and watching all the sights as we drove past was great. I arrived shortly before 1 P.M. @ Penn Station and began to wander around and take in the sights. Soon after Blue Star arrived and we were off.  We stopped off at a few places, a coffee shop and headed back to her apartment so she could show me a few things. We hung out for a while, caught up on what we’ve missed and just wandered around.  Her apartment was cool, and I approve.

That is all for now.

Movie: Interstate 60

Posted by SPOSpartan104

So tonight I was introduced to a movie called Interstate 60, and all I can say is Wow. I had never heard of this movie before but I must say all synopses I have read do not do it justice, it is an amazing movie and I highly suggest you watch it. The cast is amazing in and of itself: Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Amy Smart, James Marsden, Amy Jo Johnson, and Gary Oldman. The cast is eclectic and gives this movie a great diversity in acting styles to keep you enjoying each twist and turn to its fullest.

Now even though I believe a synopsis would ultimately fail to do this movie justice, the tag-line works well
“It began as a wish, became an adventure, and ended as the ultimate road trip”

My Conclusion, You should see this movie.

Over and out,
A friend of the Empire
