WOW Week,
This week was HECTIC!
Sunday when they moved in we were up at 5 and in the office by 6 if we wanted breakfast
at 7:30 we headed to our assignment, me as well as most of the OA’s were in the dorms assisting with freshmen move in. Jolda and I stuck together running up and downn all the stairs in EWT finding bins and bringing them back outside to be used. during a slow point we took a break to get food, and at one point even got some coffee.
Did that until 3 at 3 we headed to the office and I prepared stuff for something, and the others worked on events.
5:30 was dinner time, and at 6:30/7 it was time to set up for the carnival,
7:45 O-Team Rally, and it was time to start the carnival.
I was at one booth upstairs and when that was done I went outside to check out the dunktank, headed down stairs did a race or two, did a few other things. At the end of the carnival we helped pack up
we started packing up at 11:00pm ish after that I did something, i can’t remember if I ate.
Went to bed around 1 Woke up the next day at 6:45 good thing I generally dont sleep:-p.
The rest of the week consisted of me doing student check ins , laptop security, being in the office, or the leopard booth, Technical Setup (at convocation where I also sat people.)
The Night activities Consisted of The Skit, an Ice cream social, Brian Brushwood (a damn good magician), a scavenger hunt (I was at a copy cop till about 11:30 with Allison R.) and a Mock Drive in Movie (Benchwarmers) (it was on the quad with a big projection screen)
—-Notable Happenings
-Randomly saw former roommates and current roommates through out the week when they weren’t officially on campus yet.
-Brian Brushwood: I worked the lights for him, and afterwards talked to himabout his great laptop found out he was a gamer and we said we would play sometime, found out he coded his website, and that he was planning on making another one that I may be helping with. So that was just pure awesome.
FRIDAY Spetember
last day of WOW was service day, it is a single day of community service, The group I was with went to this k-12 school which needed massive help in returning furniture to the classrooms because of unexpected things during the summer, we did so much work and were the last group to return from our site, but it was great helping them.
At 7PM that night we had our Closing meeting. It was great Many nice things were said, we were all happy with eachother and sad to go, it lasted a few hours but it was worth it:).
End Of CSLT/WOW Blogs
I then had free time….What do I do without a schedule??!?!!?
