Saturday.
I moved into my dorm. It went well. My ma, her boyfriend and I took two chariots, My Cherokee, and his friends truck. We arrived at Wentworth around 9:45am I said a few hello’s and I checked in. When I checked in I was given a binder and a few things including my new ID and key. We then began bringing stuff up to my room a little before noon we finished and then drove to Stop and Shop to park so we could go to this good Diner that I knew of in Brigham Circle. We Ordered food, I got the Cheese omelette My ma got a Western Omelette and he got a 2 egg meal. All the food was real good. My mother and I headed back to my dorm to unpack my things while he headed home. We unpacked most of my things within a couple hours and then My ma headed home and I only had my electronics to unpack.While Unpacking I had seen a friend of mine so of course I yelled out the window to him. I said goodbye to my ma and she drove my chariot home.
I set up all my electronics, mainly my computers. Once everything was nice and hooked up I came to the discovery of my lack of Internet; This was quite annoying. I relaxed for a while and then in the hallway I heard my friend Seng looking for me so I opened the door found him and let him in. He will be staying with me throught Opening week and most of O-Staff Training. While Looking out the window I saw a friend known as the Iron_Possum. He is a pretty cool guy, I met him last year during the first O-Staff meetings. So of course I yelled out and eventually headed down to help him move in. He was with his friend Rob so the three of us, soon joined by Ben(the one I saw earlier) helped the Possum move in.Once all his stuff was in his room it was almost time for the Opening BBQ. We headed over to 610 to join the Barbeque. I began seeing many of my friends from my last year at college, of course all the ones I was seeing were ones who had joined some type of student leader program. There was the pcable, Pooler, Keeks, Jaime, Janet, And many others (I could go on for quite a while). After a bit of eating and talking to many great people the announcements by the Staff began, we soon moved indoors for discussions about the coming weeks of training. After the discussions we were put into groups, the groups in which we would be in during the centralized training. We also had to choose a group name, we chose “The Pirates”…YARRRRRRRRR MATEY!…oops sorry you’ll understand that later in the blog. Anywho, we were given a few handouts and some Ice cream! and then it was time to head back to the dorms and pack so we could be ready for camp the next day!.  After packing and getting situated I did a few more things including begin a new layout design for my website. I then called it a night, it had been a long day.

Sunday.
I woke up made sure I had everything I would need packed, and then headed out to the cafeteria with my stuff tog et some breakfast. I sat with a few of my friends, Dominic Steve and a few others. While we were eaing they began having each team yell out their team name along with the theme [the theme was “Not Your Average ____”, The Teams consisted of Awesome, Beavers, Refrigerators, and 2 others that escape me currently. Then of course our name was  Not Your Average Pirates!:-D, heh I’ve never been much of a pirate guy but that was sure to change this week.

We headed off to the bus and it was time to begin the trip to camp. Because of the amount of people going there were two buses (Quality style with TVs!) Iron Possum and myself got on the second bus. Thus began our 3 hour Ride to Peru…Massachusetts, who knew:-p.  On the way there Possum and I shot the shit with a few others and laughed at people singing to themselves and we then began watching this Vietnam war movie called Rescue…What a comedy that turned out to be. IMDB it for the plot and then add in bad acting and a bad script it was great:-p.

After that movie we started watching Time Cop, and not too much longer after, we arrived at camp, just as the full fronta female scene finished. It was time to unload the buses and pick a bunk in a cabin, and maybe grab some snacks, that were in a pavilion nearby :-p.

I was in Bunk 2A with Steve, Nick S., Eric M., Seng, Jolda, and Ben W. What an awesome bunk.

So much happened at camp so i think i will just detail events and less transitions.

We then did this massive circle Ice breaker (There was about a hundred+, 95 students +12 or so pro staff, or so of us there and we were all doing it), one consisted of saying your name and an action (while portraying said action) that began with the first letter then your name again. For example If I were to say Animalistic it would I’m Animalistic Aiming Animalistic (and when I said Aiming I would act like I’m holding a sniper rifle and making and aiming motion.) That took us  a little while to complete. We then Played train wreck, this consists of someone being in the middle and saying something about themselves and whoever identifies with that runs into the circle and then tries to find a new spot to stand, whoever remains takes control, however if the middle person pleases they can call trainwreck and everyone has to run. We played this for a while and it was quite fun. Near the end me and an Echo to infinity ran into eachother forcing my fist into muy throat and his arm got scratched up, neither of us fell and we both made it to a spot. After that we all sat down and filled out a piece of paper with our name on it, and it was collected shuffled and then we were each called up to see a name. We then found out that they would be someone we would construct a gift for (I got someone named Nick Lambros). After that It was dinner time and at each meal the name cards were always randomly placed for the duration of camp so we could meet people we may not normally meet.  Each dinner had different things but they were generally pretty good; currently I cannot recollect what we ate this night. After Dinner There was another activity, however I cant remember which  activity it was. Not much else went on that night, except for a few games here and there.

Monday

Woke up at 7 by radio by some odd song:-p thanks Jo. and went to breakfast. Cereal, and Yogurt YAY, some breakfasts we even got other stuff, but this was the main thing. We then headed outside to the field below the cafeteria. For some team builing excercizes. So I got back together with the Pirates YARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. These activites consisted of trusting your group no matter what. The first team builder was  the group spread out an arms width apart and then one member would be in the middle, close their eyes, and run straight, a team mate would then grab his arm as he came close tell him that he had him and then spin him back to the circle. The pirates split in two because these excercizes wanted 7-8people. One activity had one person stand and close their eyes , and the other 7 wouldform a line one person at the head and the other six paired off one for the legs one for the mid and one for the torso. The person would then sayy falling and the spotters would say fall on, then they would carry the person around raising, lifting, and moving as one, under the instruction of whoever was at the head. It was a trip. Also we did one with the person standing in the middle and they would be gently pushed asround in a circle by their team mates, to show that they can trust their team mates to support them.

It was then time for the Low ropes course. Another team building thing. Low ropes are a series of activites where for the most part ropes are involved. One activity was climbing a rope ladder at a 45º angle, which s difficult considering how much it shakes, the rest of the team would be spotters on the side druing this.  It went well. Next we did this thing
where there were two pillars, one about 1.5 ft off the ground and the other 3ft off the ground. The group lined up, in 2 lines, in front of these between two trees. A volunteer went up, and everyone stretched out their arms and interlocked them like zippers the volunteer would stand on a pillar and jump. They would jump towards this trapeze thing that was about 10 ft away, they generally wouldn’t touch it and tehy are not supposed to grab it. When they dived for it the group would then catch them, to build trust. After that we went to this one where a steel wire went from one tree to another, and then from that tree to a third (it continued further but that informations is not pertinent. The first section was longer then the second, however there was a tree nearby about 5/8ths of the way. The goal of this excercize was to have everyone cross it linked together, so one person gets on and holds the tree for balance, then the next person get son and holds the tree and teh second person, the first person only holds the second, and so on. So we tried a few different maneuvers like everyone facing different ways and changing the assortments of sizes of people, height wise. We ended up getting it pretty ewell, i was second fom last (after Cody, before Seng), which was good because of my arm span, we used that tree that was part way in for support. After me was Seng, i had decent balance and that way Seng and I could support eachother. The next event consisted of a 30ft steel cable between two trees and four ropes evenly distributed hanging above it. On this one two people go at once, on at each side. They must keep their eyes closed and cross, using only the ropes as support, you each get 6 spotters. I went with Rob. It was tought going so far holding onto only one rope and trying to balance, worst off my legs were shaking the rope making it difficult for Rob. When we meet in the middle I leaned forward and stepped around while he leaned back and stepped around.  We eventaully even got a Staff member to do it, she had some problems but she made it. ONLY 2 More to go. After that set we went to this one wear a long block of wood was suspeneded by cables, balance beam of sorts. This time 2 people would walk on it and attempt to pass eachother with open eyes I believe. I attempted this one but it shook too much for me, so I sat this one out and just spotted. Last event was this web of ropes. The cahllenge was passing people through the holes to the other side, only designated people could talk (designated by the person in charge, sometimes no one could talk. Certain holes could only be gone through once, and if someone touched the side of another hole at any point they were “dead” (electric fence) and that hole was now closed off. All of these activities were fun. Then it was lunch time. YAY GRILLED CHEESE and Tomato Soup. Apparently thee 100+ of us ate over 400 grilled cheese sandwiches…I think that was a tad exagerrated.

Lunch was good. I sat with another group of people today. Over the week I sat with a few bunches of people. Most of the time one or two people were with me for a couple times. I talked to a couple of the RD’s a good portion and some of the other staff, I also met more people, like Justin V. Jess M, Adrian, and a few others who’s faces I know but not names. After Lunch. we did some work on a skit. I believe the skits were given out at this point. We had to do a skit on Not your average day in the Community Standards Board.

First off you need to know what the Community Standards Board is. When someone violates the rules in the Res Halls (Dorms) They have to have a meeting with the Resident Director for that building, depending on the severity of the action they can choose to go up against the Community Standards Board (CSB), which is made up of students, and the CSB can give a penalty for the defendant’s actions, or even clear them of the transgression, think of it like going to trial.
We ended up deciding that the skit would be  a trial that The CSB is hearing which would consist of one Dorm taking over another, and since our group was pirates we had the dorm that was pillaging be referred to as Pirates.

After an hour of that we went into a session discussing our Meyers Briggs Type Indicator. We discussed the meanings of all the types for about an hour and a half. we then had free time until about 6PM which was dinner time.

For the free time I went back to my room for a relaxing break, and to think of an Idea for my nature gift, so I went back to my Bunk in Bunk 2A BOO YEA:-p. Then at almost 5 I as well as steve headed to the beach on the lake to join many people there. We get their and the Giant Canvas water slide is up and running so of course we went on that, that was very fun. Of Course Matt W. was there with his camera, so we got some good action shots, Oh and Dejan was wearing a Speedo…Europeans:-p. Anyway soon thereafter it was dinner time so we changed up and got ourselves food.

The Dorm that got taken over was Baker, and the dorm doing all the bad things would be Tudbury, AKA The Black Tud. It starts off with the CSB begin to read the details of the upcoming trial and just become confused because of all the odd details. Both dorms are Freshman Dorms. The Baker Plaintiffs then enter to tell their side of the story. The First Story was Rob’s. Rob Was attacked and tattooed his two bluejays were turned into dolphins and YARRRRRRRR! was marked on his chest.  One story was of how the Pirates of The Black Tud, stole one girl’s entire foreign Alcohol collection, which was bad, and then on top of that You aren’t supposed to have it in the beginning, so she’ll be seeing the CSB later. Next came Seng, Seng is a commuter who the Black Tud capture locked in a closet and forced him to drink her entire Alcohol collectionm then followed by the phrase “You don’t want to see what that floor looked liked.” Then came Nick was up. Nick was wearing a dress. Nick came up to tell how The Black Tud stole all of his dresses, which he wears only on certain nights, like the weekends and Friday, and Tuesday+Thursday, and sometimes Mondays and Wednesdays, and on top of that all the pirates left him was the ugly dress he was currently wearing (Boy was it funny seeing Nick S. in a dress). Then there was Dejan, Dejan had his entire collection of Speedo’s stolen. He is from continental Europe where speedo bathing suits are the main thing. He pretended to be really sad and told a story how in Europe you get your first speedo when you are born. It was a real sob story.

The CSB Then called in the Pirates. I came in with a toy plastic gun and a cardboard+aluminum sword and another with a plastic six shooter, We all ran in screaming YARRR. The CSB repeated all the things we’ve done and we cheered YARRR after each one, after the Speedo one The CSB then responded to the Pirates by asking them if they were wearing the Speedo’s right now…we all responded with (in an admittance tone) “YArrrrr”. At this point EVERYONE was laughing. It was great. My Rebuttle to the CSB was “They be very comfy.” So they then asked if we just admitted to all these horrible things, I answered for us with a YARR, but We did it in reponse to them stealing all of our Trash buckets (which baker is notorious for doing to Evans Way/Tudbury all the time in real life). Slightly shocked at all the reparations we took towards baker for Stealing our bins, but then they thought back and revealed that they all once lived in tudbury and remembered how much they hated it when the Baker people stole their trash cans. The CSB then slipped on their red bandanas and sided with the Pirates for the win of the trial:). It was great. The rest of the skits were great and there were some celebrity appearances: like “Janet Reno” and “Flavor Flav” :-p. Haha good stuff.

After this was free time, and then a camp fire to bring the night to a close, but first Steve, and I went towards the woods back near the bunks to build our nature gifts. I found some sort of ring made out of a stem of a plant laying on the ground, and since no one claimed it, it was perfect for my nature gift. I built a Basketball hoop out of that, reeds/grass as netting, and a small block of wood as a backboard. Nick G, soon joined us in our attempt at gifts. As it got darker we ended up sitting on a rock working in the moonlight, and whatever light was near. We were soon joined by Allison R., and people continued to walk by, like Melissa and a few others. We finished around 9:30 and Steve and I decided to head over to the camp fire to join the group. Everyone was relaxing and hanging out, some were standing around the fire singing sonds, it was very funny because half way through each song no one knew the words. good times. around 11 everyone had almost headed back, we were cleaining up. There were some games of Mafia going on (card game depending on which card you got decided whether or not you were a townsperson, a Mafioso, Doctor, or snitch. It was fun, some rivalries were made. But it was all in good fun.:) It was then time to call it a night.

Tuesday

No wake up call this morning  that I can recall. Breakfast time again, and then it was time for the Team Events. there was a 3 legged race, dizzy run, egg and spoon run, balloon toss, Toilet Paper wrap up (where one team member is wrapped up in 5 rolls of Toilet Paper first group done wins), We didn’t place last in each event, however we were either 4th or 5th in most of them. It was still fun. It was here that the pirates and refridgerators became friends, we rooted eachother on. Funny occurences: During the dizzy run, in which I did successfully sprint both ways, After I had finished I went to the back of the line and kneeled (when finished each player needs to kneel) so I was kneeling, and I looked up to see the people in front of me parting, and then all I see is Salerno’s face running towards me, BOOM, we were both on our backs on the ground, laughing, it was so funny!. Another Occurence. When the refridgerators and the Pirates finished the TP wrap up we both used what training we had the first day to Lift our TP’ed guys next to eachother for a dual team picture . The sheer awesomeness of it all was great. This inspired the other groups to do the same and join us. We did not win this set of events . Lunch Time YAY. Next came something very fun, an amazing race like scavenger hunt. We got pieces of maps throughout it to find the next challenge. (challenges consisted of Getting 4 gallons of water out of a 5 gallon bucket and a 3 gallon bucket, sudoku, the pencil pyramid game, codes, word find/jumble, tangrams, and the maps pieced together to form a page with a riddle on it (I can bring a smile to your face an Idea to your mind and even a tear to your eye but you cannot see me, what am I? The answer was ………………………………………….. a memory (we got it after a couple tries. The Pirates were the first ones to the end, and we WON:-D!!!!!!!!!!!YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY . We also finished ahead of schedule    YARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!:-D:-D  So after an hour or so of free time, it was time to claim our prize. We opened the chest and in it were many rubber snakes, and movie passes for each one of us, so we could go see Snakes on a Plane!! After this we did excercises on reflection of what happened at camp. We did this one thing where we all got in a circle with our respective groups and we were given a thing of yarn. We were to toss this yarn to someone in our group and say one thing good about them.  I apparently make some people smile. this continued until we were able to make a ring out of this that connected us all together. We then made bracelets out of this yarn.  Another excercise we did was everyone at camp sat on the outer edges with their eyes closed and we each had a number (1-5) and when our number was called we would go to the center of the circle, and when todd said something we would touch everyone’s head who fit that description, i.e. “Touch a person’s head who made you smile these past few days”. That was a great exercise it made everyone happy.

Soon after it was our last dinner time, and then it was time for our trip home . The buses were a tad late showed up around 6:30 instead of 6. And there was no movie this time around, all though i did get some nice footage of someone lipsyncing to their cd player.  I let Iron_Possum listen to my box of Zenification, whilst I rested. Around 10 (when we should have been heading home, we stopped in a rest area a bit off course, because of a flat tire which later on became a blow out, we ended up having to wait for another bus to meet us in the breakdown lane, so it could take us back to campus. We in total were delayed an hour, I was quite exhausted when I returned, and of course my INTERNET WAS STILL BROKEN!

-Diversity day was a very interesting thing it started out with us all in an auditorium with 2 guest speakers, This day consisted of topics about how we all don’t know everyones complete background so we don’t know how certain things may affect them; basically about us making sure we are compassionate and that we choose our words carefully. We also did activites where we would split off into groups and share information about ourselves with others, each time it was a different group. We also went over the agents and victims, of prejudices, and how to deal with that. Near the end we did this thing where everyone stood in a circle; he would announce something, be it a race, a gender, a certain group membership, or something about our past or family lives. Those that felt something applied to them would step into the circle, he would have us notice who we stood with and who we didnt stand with. It was an experience, tough as well. one of the last ones, was if we felt we should’ve gone into the circle at some point but didn’t for whatever reason step in, a few of us did.  thinking back on this right now is draining me, We were all so drained after that day. it was intense. After the circle activity, they asked if people would volunteer from certain groups mentioned, so they could speak their part about coming from that background. All of the rest of us would listen , and then 2 comments afterwards would be made about specific sentences they said, so they could realize we were really listening.
-After all that It was Dinner time (Lunch happened somewhere in that day).
-Dinner was always interesting, most of us ended up sitting at this massive table we made by pushing a bunch together it was really cool.
-Only thing at night was committee meetings, and I went to my events staff meeting, where we discussed our events for opening week and some more ideas for the opening day carnival.
- by 8pm we were out for the day and back in our dorms. I still had no internet so like tuesday and wednesday night, I actually slept because currently there wasnt much else to do.

-Session #5 Community Builder: I believe in this one we played jeopardy about things around campus and what we woudl do in certain situations in our community.
-Session #6 Peer Advocate: if Jeopardy wasn’t the last one it was this one, otherwise this one was about how to advocate students at Wentworth, mostly Freshmen, but not necessarily.
- HOUR BREAK! YAY- I went to OIT (Office of Information Technology) so I could have them check my internet port in my room. One of the guys came wiuth me back to my dorm, inspected the ports found that none had a connection, just like I found. We then went to the networking closet, he was nice enough to let me accompany him (probably because on the way back to the dorm we exchanged some of the odd IT workorders weve gotten in the past.) Eventually we found the problem (something was slightly off axis) and YAY INTERNET. Then it was lunch time, and then CASA Sexual assault training so we could lead discussions when  the freshmen had to be informed of facts about sexual assault.

-Had most of the day off, but went to a commencement early on.
-A friend came up to hang out today, we went to a couple stores, hung out, began watching blade 2
-At around 7:30 she had to leave, and then Iron_Possum, GameXPlyr, Randombw, and Myself went to Uno’s for some great food.
-After that I can’t remember if I did much else other then be online.

Wednesday August 2 Yes I am working the day after Ozzfest, am I insane? Quite Possibly. Before leaving for work I told Rachel to give me a call before her dad picked her up. At work on this day it was going to be around 104º due to the 99º weather and the humidity. Because of this we stayed in the office loading machines and such. I did fall asleep twice briefly but no big deal. I had called Rachel to make sure Dan would be awake for when I got home, and surprisingly he was already awake. Around 11:30 Rachel called me to let me know she was heading home, so I wished her a safe trip and finished up what I was doing on my current machine, and when noon rolled around I headed home to go get Dan, turns out I missed Rachel by about 2 minutes. Well Dan and I got his things together grabbed a quick bite to eat and parked at my office so we could take the train into South Station. Trains seemed to be running quite slow which caused us to miss the bus we wanted him to get on. We ended up getting him ready for the 2:15 bus to Portland for his mom to pick him up; before he left I had to leave to return to work, I had already let a boss know I was running a tad late. I was almost back to my stop on the train (probably about 50-100ft out when the train just stopped because there was an emergency a few stops down, it was just one of those days. ah well.:-p. Any way I got back to work finished up the day and headed home. When I got home I relaxed for a while and then met up with my friend’s Dan and Lorrie so we could go for a ride in Dan’s boat. We headed out for a while and then when we were almost to the point we wanted to be at we started to see lightning, it was time to head home, and of course then people started calling telling us that there was a storm and that we should hurry back. So we rushed back, it was getting a bit windy where we were but not too bad. As we got closer to Quincy it became more and more choppy to the point where the waves were becoming quite a decent size and we were getting quite wet from the water. Well we eventually got back to his house, I got some food because no one else wanted the pizza we got offered. Meanwhile we talked about stuff, like things from high school and funny stories of people hiding homework because the person they got it from was annoying them immensely, and then just other goings on. We then tried to decide on a movie but couldn’t find one so we went to blockbuster and agreed that almost every movie sucked however since Lorrie had never seen American History X We had her watch that (I still voted for a Tremors Marathon:-P, however I agreed with this choice).We went back watched the movie, all enjoyed it and then called it a night. I dropped Lorrie off and headed home. It was another good night, however quite a long one.

Thursday August 3 At work we stayed in building again but today we were doing data processing and I got a more thought involved one so that was cool:) Thanks Ellens. After work Stopped home briefly and went to Joe’s to Beat some Halo 2:-D YAY. That was about all of the events for the night.:)

Friday August 4 At work, in the morning Sheryl (one of the secretaries) gave me a big bag of wint-o-green life savers (my favorite of the mint kind) since it was the last time she would see me before I left to go back to Boston (she had the next week off and that was my last week).That day we… well for some reason I can’t remember what we did, and it is quite annoying, I know we went to a school but I can’t remember which one, ah well. At Lunch we went to this new place in the North part of the city the sold home made root beer, and we all had coupons for free large Root beers. We were going there because Bob was meeting up with a good friend of his Sully. Sully is a good man, one of my most loyal disciples, hell he even wrote a pledge of allegiance to me. Any who we get there and the place is packed, and their CO2 is broken so no sodas which means no root beer:(. I ordered a steak and cheese sub, it wasn’t bad a bit pricy though. Half the group went back to the office to eat but Bob, Diana, Sully, Anthony, and I stayed to eat there. We parted with Sully and headed back to the office. On our way to the office we got some news about our checks pay rate changing, because the raise we were told we got a while ago apparently we weren’t suppose to get and that they were going to have us pay back the difference. I was PISSED. During the ride, Anthony looked at me and could just see it in my face. It was bad. When we got back I talked to Nick our boss, who passed the info along to us, where he got his information from, he told us it was from Rich, the department’s boss, and Mullaney, The head of the Business and Payroll Department. I went looking for both of them Rich was in a meeting and no one knew where Mullaney was. Later on I talked to Rich and he informed me that yes our pay rate was going down, however we were not supposed to pay back the difference. I was calmer then. The rest of the day just kind of went by. I then went to my friend Kathleen’s house to install some software for her, so her computer could be finally complete from when I started a week earlier. That went well. I then stopped at home and drove into Boston. I parked at my college and walked to the Pru to attend a Technology meeting I go to once a month. When I got there (about a half hour later than I usually do) there were only two people there one who I hadn’t seen in months (met him my first meeting but then didn’t see him again.) and the other one who had missed the past two meetings who was actually the first guy I had talked to. Shot the shit with them for a while got some info for a few projects I wanted to start (also got a phone call from a friend about laptop purchasing advice), and then more and more people slowly started showing up, some new, some regulars. We talked about a bunch of stuff, I just tried to keep track of it all, and then as the meeting came to a close I headed back towards my college for a party with my friends that are there for summer semester. Before entering I got a phone call from my friend PaPPy about a flash game that needed hacking, and he ended up successfully doing it. GO PAPPY. Well I got into the building as a friend from that room was heading up, and noticed a friend of mine (A fellow Person Helping out with orientation,), who I made sure to wave to later. Any who I got up there and hung out with all of them until about 2am. It was a fun party as always. And of course on the way out while in the parking lot I ended up talking to Kappy for about an hour. I then parted ways with him and proceeded to head home. It always seems like such a long drive when I leave there so tired. That was the end of that night:). Saturday August 5 I woke up at 10:30 and then passed out till 1. I very very extremely rarely sleep that late I HATE SLEEPING LATE, HELL I HATE SLEEP! It was probably because I didn’t get to sleep late after Ozzfest. I began writing a lot of this massive update then. The action of this day happened later on when my ma, my friend Lorrie, and myself met up with my ma’s boyfriend at his friend’s Block party he was holding, Lorrie and I just hung out there for a while talking about random stuff as usual:). Eventually my ma got bored and wanted to leave so we headed home and I took Lorrie out in my car and we drove around randomly through a couple cities just having fun. I had invited Dan to the party as well but he was working, and when Lorrie and I were hanging out we called him but he was exhausted so he called it a night. Anyway Lorrie and I drove around for a while, looking at our old neighborhoods (west Quincy, Dorchester) and some friends areas (Milton). Around 12/1 am (I think) we called it a night, I dropped her off and headed home, she was heading to Plymouth in the morning, :-p lucky her. That was my night.

Sunday August 6 Woke up around 8 am wrote more of this update, talked to my friend Kristina (the one who just bought the laptop). She told me she was having problems with it and that she needed some software for it, so I told her after I did what I had to do I would go check it out. I showered up and headed to my Grandfather’s house because my 92 year old Great Aunt was coming up for lunch and I wanted to at least stop by and say Hi. I went over there and she was a tad late (apparently our cousin who drove her is a notoriously slow driver and late person) any who I said my hellos and talked for a while. Joe showed up at some point and shortly after I said my goodbyes and he and I went to Kristina’s to fix her laptop (I fix he sit there). Well I get there, say hello to her and her company and I began working. After a while of working, and Joe having an “accident” all over her floor, I fixed her laptop (Best Buy forgot to take off her Proxy server so she couldn’t go online) I calibrated her stylus, updated her machine and installed software. That was all set and then Joe and I headed out to finish the night with some more HALO. I even got a hug as payment for my work:). Not much else happened that night. Today Went to work, we delivered machines that we had been working on to all the schools they came from. Went back to the office ordered lunch, I did a quick run to the bank. Did some moving of Files (Hard copy ugh:-p), and we then went to a keyboarding lab to replace some drives and for me to attempt to break our new security software on them, I was getting close but I was told to stop so we could configure things. We went back to the office, and headed home. I came home, relaxed for a while and caught up on my web stuff on other websites, and then yep you guessed (maybe you did at least) headed to Joe for some more HALO:-D (Am I addicted? Is there online somewhere a picture of Joe photoshopped as a Big Pink Bunny?). And now here I am writing this Blog. Have a good Night. This is the end of the massive updates:) FINALLY!!!:-p heheh.

OZZFEST 2006
So Farragher and Laura called us and told us they had arrived, meanwhile Joe Dan James Rachel Lauren Mike and myself had been amusing ourselves and sun blocking ourselves up because it was going to be very hot today and we were going to be outside from 8:45 (the time we got there) through about 11:30 PM). We then proceeded to head towards the entrance to meet them there.

Whilst waiting at the entrance I saw 4 people that I knew from Wentworth (Josh Pratti, POLAND!, Jesse, and Jesse’s Twin Becky) so I walked up to them and made my presence known, it was quite cool seeing them all there. I talked to them for a little while then saw Farragher coming with Laura so I went to tackle him haha but I didn’t. It was official everyone was there. So we all got our tickets settled and proceeded in. Josh and Poland’s group went there way and we went ours. We looked at a few booths and I gave everyone who hadn’t been there a run down of what was going on. We then headed to the second stage to see all the opening bands.

While at Second Stage we were checking out all the booths in the area and hitting each other with water. We went to the Trojan booth to get free Condoms:-p. While getting in line I heard the band that was playing announce to the crowd for them to separate and I knew what was coming. I sprinted to the crowd for what Lamb of God calls the wall of death, was coming. My Favorite type of Mosh Pit. I got there right as the sides let loose. It died down pretty quick but I got a few good hits on me and on others. Nothing feels as good as a Mosh:-D. I then headed back to the Trojan line when Mike Lauren and Joe met up with us there, so I proceeded to say

Me: “Hey Joe, do you know what type of mosh pit that was?”

Joe: “Yea”

Me: “You know that’s my favorite kind right?”

Joe: “Yea, I turned and said to them ‘How much ya wanna bet Fred just sprinted over there?’”

Me: I looked at Rachel who I had given my water while her, Farragher, and Laura were laughing. “Yea about that, Rachel What did I do when I heard what was going on?”

Rachel: “You sprinted over there”

I then found out Dan and James had headed over as well and that was cool. Well we got to the front of the line and the wheel to win condoms was stopped because he only had one type left so he just handed out those. We wandered some more, possibly headed over to the shower heads (there were two shower heads out so people could cool down and not get heat stroke.) we did this several times over the day. Everyone put on decent shows. As the second stage progressed we started looking at some of the booths around the Tweeter center and seeing all the shirts and such, as well as this cool t-shirt booth playing Opeth, Farragher complemented the guy on it and he gave us $5 off . So I got this awesome Glowing Skull T Shirt. We eventually wandered back to The Second Stage and went over to the PS2 booth. While relaxing there for a while I ran into a good friend of mine from school. THE DON WONDERS! It was awesome seeing him there. We talked for a bit, and then split up. Oh there was another booth worth mentioning. There was a booth dedicated to Dime bag Darrel (RIP) it had all these guitars with artwork from other bands dedicated to him, the artwork was amazing. When I get the pictures from Farragher and Rachel I’ll have to post them. Any who we went back to watching the bands and they were doing pretty well. Eventually The Second Stage headliners came on. Black Label Society, a band I have seen at Ozzfest since 2001 (not including the one year I missed …:[ 2004 ) But as they have progressed they have grown on me. They put on a great show and I went in the pit a couple times, after a few songs they played Fire It Up which is most likely my favorite song by them. FYI I am also a fan of the guitar hero game and so is Farragher, Rachel and Laura have had to watch us play many times as well so when I made the joke of playing Fire It Up on guitar hero; They all got a good laugh out of it. I went in the pit a couple times for them. There was this good looking girl in the pit too, had an Iron cross tattoo and a bikini top of Iron crosses, Damn.

Any who there set was pretty good and when they ended it was time to stop and get some drinks before heading to main stage.

When we got to our seats Dragonforce was on and we found Joe Dan and James who had separated from us earlier. Dragonforce was pretty good, reminded me of Iron Maiden, clean power metal. Then Lacuna Coil came on. I apologize to any of their fans, but they fucking suck. I mean damn Way too synchronized and pre-pressed fashion metal bullshit. Joe told them how much they sucked and their response wasn’t even correct, it was “I see some people can’t take female leads of bands, well you can kiss my ass” Now first off bitch listen here, we are fine with female leads, hell KITTIE Is pretty damn Good are problem with you and your band is you all just SUCK. Stupid fucking people.

Next came Hatebreed; Who by the way did an awesome show their new stuff wasn’t bad and I was quite fucking happy when they played I WILL BE HEARD!.:-D

Then came Avenged Sevenfold Never really heard too much of their stuff but they put on a good show and near the end they called out the singer of Bleeding through and did a tribute to Dime bag by playing “Walk” by Pantera. THE CROWD ERUPTED as did we. I screamed every word and bounced along with every beat. They soon after ended their set, and then the stage was prepared for Disturbed. Disturbed put on a great show. Half way through their set a bottle fight started and then when our side got the idea of just holding stuff so the People on lawn wouldn’t have ammo the lawn started throwing sod, and after a while it was just annoying so we all moved to get out of the way the girls were getting hit bad and people were leaving with them so Dan James and I went with the last of them as they left and I went to find Joe, Joe was hanging with this group of kids from Providence Rhode Island who were a row in front of us They were quite cool we had talked to them for quite a bit of the show, They thought my group was pretty funny especially after all of our condom balloons.  Any who near the end of Disturbed we regrouped and went back to our seats the fight was over, and dirt was everywhere on the ground and on us.

Next up was System of a Down. What a fucking show they put on, I mean holy shit, it was great, and Serj kept randomly changing lyrics because he was bored. For Example during Sugar When he says I sit in my desolate room, he replaced it with “I shit in my desolate room, no lights, no music, JUST ICE CREAM” it was great. During another one of their songs with one of Serj’s rush of lyrics he just broke out into WHAT THE FUCK AM I SAYING!? Haha. Also Randomly Daron (guitarist) would start another one of their songs slowly before everyone joined in, One particular time he started with: “My Cock is Bigger than yours, My Cock can walk right through the door, Can’t you see that I love my cock so much more than yours?” Then they broke out into Cigaro:-p. The crowd was dying of laughter it was great.

Then Ozzy came on stage, He had a nice big introduction, and Came on and had fun. Just a note to you all Him being on stage and seeing it is always awesome but this year it was even better and more special since he didn’t do every tour date only select cities. He Loves the Massachusetts crowd so much its great:) we all go insane for him! He put on a good show, not as long as former years but long enough hell I’m just glad he was there, he played Suicide Solution, Crazy Train, I Don’t want to change the world, Bark at the Moon, Mama I’m Coming home:), among other great songs:). During Ozzy Our New friends had to leave so we said goodbye to them and wished them a safe trip. About a half hour later the show was over and we all headed back to our cars. Farragher and Laura split from us and they seemed like they had a great time:), but before we left, we used Farragher’s phone to get two group pictures. The rest of us got back to mine and Mike’s cars and I had enough Gatorades so we could each have one sitting in a cooler in the back of my Steel Chariot. After that it was time for Mike and Lauren to make there way to Newburyport. I drove us all back to our area. Dropped James off at my Dad’s place, found out he had stuff at my house still and said I would drop them off later. Then headed back to Quincy to drop of Joe and head home. Joe’s arms were burned to almost leather It was fun to poke them.

Then it was back home with Rachel and Dan, I passed out for a few, showered and went back to sleep. What a Great night:).

Hey all Ive been pretty busy lately running around doing stuff, but have no fear for The Emperor has returned!

Here is a Big update ranging from My last real entry up till right before Ozzfest 2006:-D. Part II will be coming later today/tonight.

Massive Update part 1!
The Night of Saturday July 22
That Night I ended up sitting around photoshopping, even helped Kristina with a tattoo dilemma the wonders of Photoshop.
After Photoshopping I went out on a walk with a good friend of mine, she wasn’t in a great mood (friend troubles) but thankfully after a 2 hour? walk she was cheered up a bit so that was good.

Sunday July 23
Woke up a lot later then usual (almost 11am), I hate waking up late. I got an IM from my friend Dan letting me know that high tide was coming up. So we decided to go get my friend Lorrie. About 40 minutes later everyone was ready and we get to Dan’s house, and of course by then the tide has gone out a tad so we ended up only going out for almost 2 hours. I got soaked at one point, I was sitting up at the front and leaned flat on the front and we went almost straight into a wave. Oops:-p. heh it was alright. They got a good laugh out of that too:-p. After we headed in we decided we would go hit up a local restaurant/Sports Bar, and get some food. But of course I decided to change first and so did they. Dan Came around to pick us up and we headed to the place. I got a Mountain Dew Dan got a Pepsi, and Lorrie got a …Sierra Mist? When it came time to get food we all ordered basically the same thing minus a few toppings, The Bobby Orr, it’s a Small sub roll stuffed with chunks of steak and covered in cheese, with a side of Steak Fries, and Beans. It’s a great meal. We talked about Random stuff, Dan and Lorrie got into a conversation about Guinness beer and also how so many people don’t know how to pour beer from a can (tilt the glass pour half of it down the side, upright the glass and empty the can). Any who we all had fun doing that and we headed back to his house I believe we then watched Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Which of course was awesome (who wants to build a giant wooden badger with me?) after all that we realized we were all relatively tired so we called it a night, and Dan drove us home. It’s always great hanging out with those two. Once home I just relaxed for most of the night talked to a few people and then headed to bed.

Monday July 24.
Woke up for another day of work, and then off I went. After work, I got home and talked online to a few people for a bit, and then watched a movie I have really wanted to see but never got the Chance, “Serenity.” I had watched all Of Firefly a while back, the series Serenity had come from. It sucks because Firefly was a great show but somehow I missed it when it was originally on in 2002, however it was cancelled because of lack of viewers, currently it has many fans, the problem was most of its current fans were unaware of its existence, or its time of airing was bad, at the time for some reason or another. I highly suggest watching all of Firefly as well as the movie Serenity, and yes in that order Anyway after that I was hooked again and went on a researching warpath for everything about the movie and the show. After that it was pretty much the end of the night.

Tuesday July 25
Went to work of course, came home relaxed for a while, and then Played a bit of CS:Source with a friend of mine. In other news on this day AMD bought ATI which I believe shall lead to some interesting Tech Developments in the coming years. Not much happened today that I can remember other than what was said and some planning for Ozzfest.

Wednesday July 26
Another day of work and relaxing when I got home. At work today I headed to one office to help out this guy Mike with his Palm and getting it to work on his desktop and his laptop, while putting files from his palm on his old comp on both, while there I got to see the summer help he hired this cute girl named Samantha;). Played some more CS:Source with 2 friends of mine, while on the phone with my dad’s ex’s daughter who I had known for so long which made her like a sister to me, I hadn’t talked to her in a while so it was good to hear from her. Called it a night around 1AM. Another slow night.

Thursday July 27
Woke up shot an Ewok and went to work, ok ok maybe I didn’t shoot an Ewok. At work I believe I worked on Mike’s Palm again, I just can’t remember what I did, hmm maybe I started working on it today who knows. Got home, relaxed, watched a movie, “The Hulk,” Listened to some music that a friend sent me, Stradivarius, they weren’t bad. Did some more stuff on my comp which was most likely playing this game I am addicted to, I’ll describe  that later, possibly talked to Joe for a little bit since he got home on Thursday, if he wasn’t in NH all the time I’d probably be hanging out with him a lot more. That was about it for Thursday. In Other news, the US finally Ceded control of the Internet to an “international organization,” however I’m not quite sure how well that will work out. Hopefully it’s for the best.

Friday July 28
Work was work, Worked on Mike’s Palm Pilot again because it refused to HotSync correctly with the laptop for some odd reason, I ended up spending 3 or so hours on it and in the end we had to just have him Sync to his desktop and not use it with the laptop because it would keep erroring out, on the bright side I saw that cute girl again hehe cute faces can brighten days:p And since the Palm was the last thing I did I went home after finishing what I had done. We also got a chiller in our office (a type of air conditioner) we finally got working. Got home Talked to a few friends online, then went to Joe’s. Me and him played HALO for a few hours and then one of his sister’s boyfriends came over and the three of us played till 1am, killing each other and having fun with glitching the game.:-D

Saturday July 29
At around 2 am got a frantic phone call from a friend of mine, but later on in the day got a call letting me know she was all right. Woke up Early to head to Six Flags in a town known as Agawam Massachusetts. The 5 of us (Kathleen, Richie, Erin, Ryan, myself) met up with 5 others (Jared, Peter, Peter’s GF, Chris, Chris’s GF) got in the park and met up with another two (Matt and Lauren) and we all went on a ride then the 5 of us went to the water park while the other 7 stayed in the theme park section. That was quite fun. Later on Matt and Lauren met up with us in the water park. They seemed pretty kool. We had fun on all the water rides, and then as that was coming to a close we headed to the Theme park area, they went on the Batman Coaster first, which they seemed like they had fun on. While walking around the theme park Matt and I talked about his cell phone/PDA and I realized He was in my Comptech class for about a week or two back in sophomore year of high school and then he asked what I knew about computers, since I mentioned myself as a computer guy, prior to me knowing that he in-fact knew how to handle his technology. We had some cool conversations about technology and his fun job working for Compucon. It started raining a couple times and we began on a hunt for Chris for he had Kathleen’s keys to her metallic chariot. After sometime we found them because they didn’t answer their phones, Jared because he was a prick and Chris because it was on vibrate and he didn’t have it on him. We found them about 20 minutes after we split ways with Matt and Lauren. At this point the rain had let up and it was getting late so the 5 of us headed home and let the other 5 enjoy themselves in the theme park. On the way home the other 5 passed us with Jared mooning us. Later on I found out I became sun burnt even after using a bit of sun block, apparently not enough. Got home and talked to a few people and then went to Joe’s house. Put on some Aloe and beat some Halo (when I refer to Halo it could be 1 or 2). I slept at his house; we called it a night around 4.

Sunday July 30
When I woke up put some Aloe on. I got him out of bed around 1 after trying a few times prior to that. We played some more Halo then I went home first around 2 then went back to his place after a shower and returned again around 9, when I got home a friend of mine called me to help with their computer, I ended up reloading it and setting up most of their stuff. I got home around 11:30/11:45 and basically called it a night.

Monday July 31
Went to work and talked to Mike He needed me to put a few of his Palm’s files on his laptops, Like his address book just so he can have important numbers. So I went to his office to do that, while doing that I found out what I thought could have been the problem with Hot syncing and Hot Shit I fixed it, I was quite happy, after that As I was leaving I started talking to his summer assistant Samantha, Turns out she just graduated Notre Dame High school and was going to go to Providence College. She seems cool. Went back to the office and we had a relatively easy day. After work My Friend Rachel from Wentworth came down from her place in Vermont and met me so we could head into Boston and get Dan (My Dad’s Ex’s Kid who’s basically my brother) we picked him up at South Station. Then Headed to my dad’s house to pick up His new girlfriend’s son James. We all then proceeded to my house to drop our stuff off then went to Joe’s house to hang out for a bit. Later on we went back to my dad’s to get James’s money and a cooler of Gatorade. Then we, stopped at Lauren’s house (My ex who was coming with us to Fest de la Ozz with her BF Mike G.) to give her a brief rundown of the plans for Ozzfest, returned to my house and got ready to call it a night.

Tuesday August 1
Woke Up early got everyone up and dressed and headed to Joe’s. And of course Joe woke up late which delayed us a bit. We left his house I got some gas, and we headed to IHOP, got there around 7:20 where we met Lauren and Mike. We all ordered some food, chatted a bit; I gave mike a brief summary of how we were going to get there. At around 8:20 we headed out. At the turn off for 95 a semi wouldn’t let Mike turn off so we ended up having to talk to them part of the directions so they could catch up with us, when we got to 495 we found them and then we got to the Tweeter Center. And Now I shall Split this Blog. The Next Update will describe the events of Ozzfest and the rest of this past week.
